Medical Production Technology Europe (MPT) was founded in 2005 by Jurgen de Vries with the purpose of providing high quality machines and services to the medical industry. Over the years, they developed off-the-shelf solutions for balloon catheter manufacturing and stent crimping equipment and processes for their customers. Their drive for excellence has positioned them as global leaders in the balloon manufacturing industry.

MPT was acquired by Medical Manufacturing Technologies, Inc. (MMT) in May 2022.
